John’s Gallery
John’s Gallery is a low-profile private studio in Vancouver dedicated to the collection of antiques, calligraphy, and paintings. The owner’s passion for Chinese calligraphy and painting began 40 years ago in Hong Kong and gradually expanded into a diverse collection of Chinese art and antiquities. The collection encompasses over hundreds of items, primarily featuring modern and contemporary calligraphy and paintings, as well as Tianhuang and other premier national stones. It also includes archaic jade, heirloom jade, jadeite, porcelain, and various miscellaneous antiquities.
The collection’s curation strongly emphasizes the unique attributes, rarity, craftsmanship, and historical and artistic value of each piece. Originating entirely from a profound love for collecting, personal interest, and character cultivation, rather than for capital improvetment or profit, the owner rarely sells or publicly exhibits these treasures.
IAG Antiques and Collectables is deeply honored to be authorized by John’s Gallery to periodically publish a rotating selection of its masterpieces for the appreciation of fellow collectors, aiming to elevate broader interest and refinement in Chinese antique and art collecting.
